In waking dreams

In waking dreams I see your face
With everlasting flawless grace
And in my dreary eyes you swim
Within the horrid darkened grim
You are the light that fills this heartless place

I feel you as you slip away
My heart aches and begs you to stay
But in my mind I see it’s true
I can no more hold on to you
I clear my mind save this for darker days
